HONG KONG PANORAMA, NEW YORK ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL
Supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, New York, 11 Hong Kong films were screened at the 2024 New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) under the Hong Kong Panorama banner, showcasing a broad array of films that exemplify its unique blend of artistry, innovation, and sheer entertainment value. This year's impressive slate of films across different genres included two world premieres and four North American premieres. Among this year's film selections, "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Love Lies" were winners of the Hong Kong Film Development Council's 6th First Feature Film Initiative, while "Inexternal" received support under the Film Production Financing Scheme. "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In", one of Hong Kong's most-watched films of all times, was the closing film of this edition of NYAFF.
Among the Hong Kong filmmakers who attended this year's festival was the multitalented entertainer Nicholas Tse, who was presented with the prestigious Star Asia Award by NYAFF, for his dedication and breakthrough performances over the years.
